Cooper and I are applying for organic farm internships all over the country and thought that it would be fun to volunteer at one in Austin. Johnson’s farm gives a warm welcome to volunteers. The people that work there on a daily basis love their job. Volunteers leave with much more than what they came with: a few new friends, a full tote of veggies, and a smile.

It is time to say goodbye to the elegant Lake Geneva. This town provided many sweet memories for me this summer, but school is on its way. The next posts will alternate between restaurants and recipes that my husband and I have experienced or created.
